When I first started thinking about the Research Festival's Publication, I consulted and searched for a lot of reference books. However, after reading a lot of references, I felt that I needed to combine some new ideas based on my background to produce a different Publication after the course. , so I plan to use some traditional objects for new combinations.

Ever since I was little, I have always fantasized about having a big fan of my own and designing it myself, so I planned to make a fan. It can be combined with the previous digital drawing and Laser Cuter, and when it is opened, it is also an artist’s book. In addition, through the previous experiments with Laser Cuter, I think I can continue to add different layers to the original fan, so that this artist’s book can also become a round clock, with the minute hand, second hand, and hour hand on it. Can represent different meanings. Through the chat with Mujeeb, I was more certain that I needed to make such a fan because he felt that such a publication was more in line with my background - from China, and also in line with my original intention of combining design and art, round shape It also symbolizes the successful conclusion of this course.

The graphics on the fan are made of tea trees because I think their shape best suits the vitality and freshness in my mind. The appearance of two magpies flying into the sky chasing the hydrangea also means joy and good things are coming, and the hydrangea is in the air. In ancient China, it also represented the way women in the boudoir recruited relatives. Later, it was also called a way of entertainment. To me, it also means conveying joy and happiness.
